Proudly Zambian, exhilarating, airborne, and daring; Caitlin is not only a dynamic musician but a wild-child of a performer, taking violin playing to the extreme with her on-stage antics as well as in her music.

Defying the tradition of classical-crossover which is so closely associated with the electric violin and experimenting with pop, rock and international club house, Caitlin is not afraid to break away from the norm. From performing on the tops of buses, front-end loaders, and tractors to sliding across stages on her knees and flying through the air in an exhilarating aerial act, her live shows are nothing less than explosive!

At 14 Caitlin took off, gaining national media attention when she was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, USA. Aside from this two month intensive course, Caitlin is a completely self-taught musician, a point that always amazes her audiences.

From playing at local events in Zambia and for Zambian government, Caitlin has since relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa and over the past few years performed for Royalty, Presidents & World leaders including HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, Prime Ministers: Mauritius’ Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam and Kenya’s Raila Amolo Odinga; Presidents: South Africa’s Jacob Zuma, Lesotho’s Pakalitha Mosisili, Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, former Zambian presidents Kenneth Kaunda,  Rupiah Banda and the late Levy Mwanawasa; former U.S President Bill Clinton and former secretary general of the United Nations Kofi Annan

Constantly on the move, Caitlin has performed at events and festivals in the following countries to date:

Zambia | South Africa | Ghana | Malawi | Namibia | Mauritius | Seychelles | Austria | Spain | Montenegro | Kuwait | Thailand |USA

With the successful Zambian launches of her debut DVD ‘The Show Must Go On’ in October 2011, Caitlin confirmed her popularity at home with sold out shows, fantastic press coverage and hundreds of DVD sales over 2 nights. Since the opening of her online store in November 2011, DVD’s have been sold across the globe from Mexico to Australia; throughout Europe and the USA.

'..mind-blowing!....the show was spectacular and nothing short of brilliant..', (City of Johannesburg website)

An all new performance experience! Caitlin’s aerial violin performance is visually surreal. She has been seen back flipping and playing upside-down; under high ceilings as well as under a huge ‘balloon’ known as a ‘heliosphere’. Some performance highlights include:

  • Official launch of the Sandton City ‘Protea Court’ extension, 2011 (Heliosphere)
  • South Africa in Colours Festival in Vienna, Austria and Budva, Montenegro, 2011
  • Remy Martin South African Launch, 2011
  • As part of cirque shows ‘Bohemia!’ and ‘Candy land’ in the Seychelles, 2010 & 2012
  • Business Connexion event broadcast to 8,000 guests across South Africa, 2010
  • The hottest parties at The Fez, Cape Town including SA’s first ever Pacha Ibiza party! 2010
  • The official opening of the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa
